They can opt out by unplugging the phone line.  If they do that before the Ping goes out to the box after install the installer eats 5 bucks. I think I said this once before. I tell the customer the phone line saves money on their bill. It isnt a Lie, they save a dollar on PPV purchase vs calling in. Most people just assume it saves them money as a whole and leave the line plugged in long enough for the ping to go thru.
