I thinking about going to Cali to work as a contractor for a company working for charter. They want me to be an employee but I like the 1099 aspect better than the hourly. I heard you need a contractors license to work as a 1099. Any way around this? I don't want to have to spend the cash and time to wait to get a license. Any suggestions? TIA
