Speed, I think I read something not long ago in the paper about a situation similar to this and the Supreme Court ruled that despite the contract the cable company does not own or control the MDU system and that the plaintiff can do what they want with it. Maybe someone else knows more about this. I stay too busy to keep up with all the information out there.
