Here is the thing though. I think it was a comprimise. Do you want the muslim kiddies bowing to the east on a rug and praying everyday? What about all the other religions and there ceremonies? It is easier to say no religion to be practiced in school than it is to accomidate all of them. We are a country of many religions and not just one. It is not the state responsibilty to set up plalces of worship for all these religions.
It is not the state responsibilty to tell you what religion you should be. Religion should be taught at home or at church. I dont see why you have to teach religion to teach morals into people.
