We have installed quite a few 37", 42", and 50" LCD's exactly like dishdocs described. Pre-drill holes with metal bits into metal studs and use butterfly/toggle bolts. We only used four bolts per tv, and we've never had a problem. After you hang it, do a "stress test" on the mount, and if it's secure, hang the tv and call it a day.
