Question for Sat-Installers

Got a frequency issue when diplexing a line.

Recently the local cable company switched the two frequencies they use for cable modem operation.  Now in the past, using the 5mhz to 2350mhz diplexer was not an issue as the freqs were at 579mhz and 675mhz when cable and Sat. had to share the same homerun from D-Mark.

When using the exact same diplexer, but with the new freq. of 849mhz and 855mhz, the S/N goes to crap and the modems won't work when they lock on to those new freqs.

Can anyone answer why this is happening now with the new modem channels?  Is there some overlap in that band that the satellite converters are using too?  Is it a matter of crossover points being different?

More importantly ...... Is there a solution or work around to the problem?

Your help is greatly appreciated in advance.

Thanks much,

RadioMan
