Some of what is happening is dependent on what satellite they have in operation. With Directv Hd service none of the lines can be diplexed because there is two sets of freqs running the same lines already. The problem that comes with this is when the customer had the diplexed with standard service before and everything worked fine. Now when the system is upgraded and the line is already diplexed the modem almost always shuts down its link. Directv runs 250-750 and 900-2150 i am pretty sure which isn't a big gap considering they are both in operation.
