I bet you think you said something, and feel extra good about yourself Shadowman, with CONFIDENCE!!! You can run circles around guys with NCTI certifications, and you've been in the business 14 yrs. Good 4 you, what an accomplishment you've made. KUDOS to Shadowman. Funny how you mention the amount of years you've been in the industry, because there were guys making that same staement about how they been in the industry for 10, 15 years, and yet they failed the NCTI...were you one of these people, who failed the test originally, because you thought you had so many years of experience and didnt need to study, but later on passed the cert only after you studied? As far as everyone hiring for full time employees, did you ever take into consideration that the MSO is the one MANDATING this? Im not sure where exactly your location is, because you don't specify, but Comcast for example has mandated in MOST markets, that all contracting companies be employee based and they also mandated a maximum number of primes in any one area(s). Nobody is going to have a revolt, nobody is going to get guys around the nation to ban together and have a cable strike, and cable is not going to form a union. Everyone gets on here and say "hey we should do this, We should do that", and we should possibly, but we don't. Nothing is going to go back to the way it was, there won't be anymore $70 for each modem you install, would it be nice, ABSOLUTELY, but chances of it happening are -25% yes -25%. I caught on to this game rather quick and learned, if you don't like something, suck it up or keep it moving.
