Mechanics Lein/ When to put it on 'em or not! That

I recently got back into the business doing DirecTV because of the economy and all the work DTV has. The company I worked for doesn't have the contract anymore and left town. I have heard nothing from them about the last checks they owe me. It's been over 30 days since my invoicing and i was wondering if now I should put it on them. Should I include DTV as a person of financial interest to force them to pay me? I have only went through this once before about 6 years ago, but I am willing to do it again! I just needed a little feedback so they don't do this to any of our other "CABLE DAWGS"!!! Thanks!
