Re: unballanced load


From what i understand,its the unused power from the load.even though neutral is bonded to the ground it returns to the source.when neutral is cut it must be jumped out or it will flash over causing flashburns on the person cutting it.allot of people think neutral doesn't carry a load.when doing knight work you will nottice a static type arc on the strand.this is a small example of it. i don't know why it travles back to the source but it does.if the strands in the neutral are broken here and there over miles it will cause problems such as hot v.g.r.s. also if a person was to get between a cut neutral they would complete the circuit and frie like a turkey.this is how it was conveyed to me by some friends who do power.its just something to keep in mind.the different phases would explain why its unballanced.
