Every job I've been on has a backup battery for when the power go's out.Another up side to this is phone co.'s paid us to install just the battery packs and/or the i/o wires,simple work and paid fairly decent.I agree, fiber is definetly what's going on.One thing about working for the phone co. is that they have everybody's number.No door to door.Call them and set an appointment.
