Was up north in Md for the holidays and 2 friends had FIOS. They couldn't really explain it to me technically like I would have liked. I know its fiber, but thats about it. He said they spliced a strand of fiber and ran it to his house and they tied into his existing rg-6 lines.??
Such a killer HD picture, kickin HSI capacity, crystal clear phone. I was pretty impressed. Any FIOS techs or someone with Fios knowledge break it down for me? How does the installation differ from cable? Is it really dramatically better? Doesn't Cox,Comcast, Media Comm, Knowledgy, and some others run fiber? Isn't that the same thing? My buddy pays $225 a month for HSI,Phone, a DVR and his cell phone. Wish I could get that deal here! damn
