Comcast is MANDATING no "subs".
There are various half assed models that people are trying to use to achieve this goal, however, Comcast will ONLY accept the following model:
Company owned trucks.
Company provide benefits.
Company paid gas or gas allowance.
Anything else is unacceptable and will only be tolerated long enough for a "compliant" company to replace their workforce or absorb it.
I underwent the conversion in 2007 and the original "drop dead" date for the conversion was supposed to be July of 2008. I guess they allowed an extension of this date but not in the East Division where I work.
1099 is dying. Better get on board or find another line of work, soon.
