The Piss(fire) Ants here in Florida ain't squat.. sure they will sting a bit but you ain't seen Fire Ants until you run into the ones in the sand hills of Eastern North Carolina... Just drive down I-40 past Fayetteville and Look at the fire ant mounds on the side of the interstate.. 3 foot high and 7 or 8 feet around the base.. the little bastards are 1" long and as red as a fire truck.. you get near a mound and you hear kill,kill,kill and the ground shake as the sob's charge you.. I had one of the little sob's hit me on a dot ug power project on my left calf and I was Black & Blue on 2/3rd of my leg and that was from just 1 of the little sob's .. I have heard stories of them killing a 90lb German Shepard .. the soldiers at ft. brag will tell you that they are the true enemy here in the us...
just thought I would comment about my fire ant experience
