Your correct to a point there. fjjk stated in his post that in his contract is says "..by any means necessary.."
Having a prime come back and try to dictate machinery AFTER the contract is signed is not a correct move and could cost the prime dearly. The prime has no right to dictate outside the contract to a sub-contractor. The prime can only do that to an employee.
Now .... If the prime wants an employee to use a particualar machine for a project, then by goodness ....... that prime can go buy the machine for his employee to use.
If the prime IS dictating outside the contract and treating that sub like an employee, now we have "Co-employment" issues and federal law is being broken. People-go-to-jail type issues is how serious it is.
If ya'll get a chance .... research Federal Laws on "Co-Employment". It will cook your bacon and melt your brain.
