My advise would be to discuss it with the prime as to why they don't want this type of machine used. It could be an issue with weight, sometimes people have old dry wells in the back yards or old septic tanks.
My guess would be they have a valid reason and just like with any customer, they do have a right to state how they would like the work done. It's your choice if you agree to accept the work or not.
