I have worked for many contractors some (very few) are ethical, but for the most part its all about their money we can make for them, the quicker techs seem to be the one that excell to manager,lol... unlike the rest of the business world, good quality work pays off, or it use to anyway lol... its unreal butb very real,lol.. good luck.
