I'm sorry, I should have made the scenario a little clearer. You are 100% correct JP, but this is what i'm running in to:
The drop is bonded per spec at the house. However, I am running into a situation where the company wants to bond the messenger itself at the pole. Essentially hanging the drop and pulling the messenger back towards the strand, shaving off a few inches of the jacket and bonding it to a lashing clamp (bonding it to the strand) which is grounded itself every other pole. The drop itself is still bonded properly, but they'red concerned that the messenger isn't bonded to anything.
What do you think? Any pros or cons for bonding the messenger at the pole?
