Vagabond, First off, where did I say anything about being born with experience? Second, to have experience, guess what, you have to go out and get it, and once you get it you can apply for that job that requires that experience. If you want to do it right you go to work for some one that knows what's going on. Do your internship, pay your dues. If you think you can take a one week course and go out and rule the world, you are mistaken. I have trained coax and copper splicers in fiber splicing. The ones that were craftsmen in there trade picked it up pretty quick. The ones that were new to this business were pretty much hopeless. I spend at least one third of my time correcting fiber wanna bees' screw ups. That has mostly been in FTTP.
