Re: hybrid networks

Then why hire Primes with subs in the first place??

Why would Comcast take such concern in the business model of the Prime, if the work is getting done? It is nothing more than Comcast trying to "control" (read power-play) their subs.

This "national incentive" that you speak of, was trial ballooned in Massachusetts. They required the Primes to go employee based to improve quality control. What happened? Pay was cut, the good techs left, the "new employees" were no where near as qualified, quality went down the toilet. So....did Comcast stop? Nope!

The reality of the "employee based" model, was only to "condition" the Prime and techs to be taken over (read forced to sell their business) by "national contractors". Does anyone remember GFC??
Why, would Comcast want to "only deal with" national contractors, when the management and techs of the companies that were taken over, remained the same? No improvement of quality took place, quite the reverse. What did happen....pay was cut again!

It was only much later, that we discovered Comcast had an invested interest in GFC. SEC (read the Feds) starts investigating, Comcast sells off their interest, And GFC goes belly-up. Comcast THEN starts to hire Primes with subs again, because they don't have the workforce to complete routes, falling way behind. THIS TIME though, they are "re-hiring" all the SAME PEOPLE that were now out of work, for considerably LESS MONEY.

This is nothing but a "conditioning process" to force down the pay-out to the installer. It is ALL about POWER & MONEY to Comcast. They are the epitome of an "Evil Corperation".

Don't let anyone fool you, if Comcast could find some way to incorperate slavery (legal or not), and not get caught, they would implement it as soon as possible.

Peace
