i get diplexing. my question is this............why in cable does a backwards splitter, when in dns installs it works fine provided that a run is not long or on old cable. i'm sure that ingress is the main reason for poor picture quality if the wrong backfeed channel is chosen as i can look at the availabe off-airs in that market, get at least one channel of seperation on each side and get perfect picture quality. back to gm.......are you telling me that loss is the same whether the splitter is hooked up forward or reverse........and i'm just guessing here that again interference would be from any feeds off the additional outputs, or in this case inputs?
