Incable you are using a backwards splitter as a combiner. In sat you are using a diplexer=satand pwr on one side from the dish and antenna/cable on the other. when you get to the other (receiver) side of the stick you must use another diplexer again except the other way around. In oyher words you had two inputs combined with a single output and now you take the single output and bring it back to two distinct outputs= Sat and pwr on one side/ antenna or cable on the other. don't get them mixed up. You need the pwr on the sat side, not going to your antenna or feeding back in to the cable system! You would never use a "splitter" in between a receiver and dish! Hope this is clear and good luck!
