Thats not always true. Comcast took over Adelphia close to here and our headend guys had a hell of a time getting everything upgraded/reconfigured. Speeds did very a little, sometimes just too many modems to a card. While swapping a card they take all the modems from one dump it onto another thus overdriving that card while they do the swap, and a swap can take more then a day if there is problems. Oh and that download speep of 4000 is correct for the discount rate internet, 6000 is standard with upto 8000 for extra. the 300 down is about right it schould be about 364. Try Speakeasy.net. Their speed test is VERY close to the company one. Go into the diagnostics of the modem and give us the levels for upstream, downstream and snr for both. 192.168.100.1.
