i like to use speedtest.net.........the reason is simple, it automatically gives you your history of tests. test at various times and compare them against your ping times i also like bandwidthplace.com, but i think you only get 3 free a month. when you call in again i'd make sure that your modem wasn't reprovisioned at a lower rate. it's possible that the switch over changed youir billing/service ratio. that might seem simplistic, but as an installer i've seen that be the cause of a lot of troubles at time of hookup. also just another low end idea from an idiot installer........always check what your modem is reporting.........192.168.100.1 should take you to your modem's web server which will tell you what your modem is seeing. it's not as good as a meter, but it should be good at least by comparison to its self.
