I used to play an MMORG and my speeds would change depending on the time of day. And a lot of the slow speeds were becuase the server I played on got over populated.
Not only are you sharing your connection to Comcast with your niehbors but you are sharing the connection to whatever server the website or game your playing with everyone that is connecting to it as well.
Just cuase Comcast took over shouldnt make your connection slower. Same equipment between you and them just another label.
They may have made some changes on the router by combining more nodes to to one blade.
They probably would have mentioned it but I know some systems are going with a teired level of service. Allowing users to choose different speeds based on use and budget. (You can pay for really fast service and its supposedly guaranteed.)
