Your post is, if not the only one I have seen, at least one of the first with anything near positive to say about MASETC. This site is full of citations of bad experiences with these folks.
One possible explanation is the whole concept of who is a contractor. Introduce this concept to someone who, as you pointed out, can't even spell, and you have a one way situation.
To be fair to all, I only spent a month at one MASTEC site in one state and I saw enough to walk away. I have seen the same abuses reported elsewhere over and over again. The business plan involves taking advantage of those who are not equipped to understand who they are dealing with and the ramifications of their contracts.
I am glad you are making it with these folks but where are the other happy MASTEC contractors? Why are they silent?
