Questions

Yo, everyone. I am currently a cell/broadcast tower contractor, and considering a switch over to cable/data installation. I know relatively nothing about your business, although I have been messing with coax for many years... just been doing it a bit closer to the sun than most folks.

If anyone here has a few moments to fill me in a bit, I would greatly appreciate it. A major concern of mine is how comparable the pay is to what I'm doing now. I know I won't be making near as much, but on the other hand, I won't be paying near as much in expenses and payroll. I just really have no idea what to expect although a local contractor for TWC promises upwards of $1200 a week. I have no reason to doubt them, but I've been around long enough to know better than to believe everything I'm told.

Hours don't concern me, as I'm used to putting in 60-70 a week (away from home), and if I can climb 500 plus feet with 1000 ft of 1 3/4" rope strapped to me (it's heavy) I don't think it's beyond my physical limitations to install cable.

I would just go work for TWC, but they only offered me $12 an hour which is... less than I can accept. Incidentally, the company I'm scoping out is gibroadband. Again, I would greatly appreciate any insight from anyone. Thanks!
