Although I agree with the body of your reply to oldschool, I disagree that it's mostly the MSO's fault. Yes, they don't give a rat's ass if a technician is certified or not, but no, on the most part they do pay accordingly for a technician. I think most techs our there would be very satisfied if they received 75% of what an MSO paid for a job. The problem though is they don't. Not even close.
If an MSO pays $19 for a twenty minute reconnect but you only get $8 whose fault is that?
