Im gonna end it on my part with this.
Whether you are a contractor, sub-contractor, or employee of a contractor or sbucontractor, an HSP MSP or RSP. The MSOs, DTV, and Dish are our customers. They are our customers but they dictate all the economic terms of the business dealings we do with them.
If you owned a store do you think you could prosper if your customer dictated what the prices are in your store? You probably wouldnt last. No matter how 'fair' our customers say they are, the truth is they are looking out for themselves. The prices they set are what they feel is fair for themselves. The prices are not prices determined on what is needed for you to succefully run your business. Accepting the BS and dealing with it by mis-classifying workers, using illegals, or paying cheap rates is not the answer.
What I just stated is IMO, is the biggest flaw of the cable/sat industry. The customer should not have total dictation of the economic terms in our dealings with them. Until this part is fixed little can be done. Its sh*t at the begining of the process. Theres not much we can do with it by the time it gets to us. All we can do is send it back and telll them to come with something better. Once we keep sending it back and inform the right people about the sh*t they're pulling we will have a better chance of getting them to send us something better.
