I know it would piss me off, but you got to be careful on how you handle it. Look at the source of the person talking crap, is he/she worth possibly loosing a contract over or not being allowed to work in a specific system? Maybe maybe not.
It may be just a matter of talking to the individual one on one.
I am in in-house guy myself and have seen the same thing here, the contractor always gets the bad rap. We have hired contractors as inhouse guys and have great luck so far. One guy is in his 20th year for us and 35yrs in cable.
I know for a FACT that we have contractors that do MUCH better work than in-house guys and vice versa. Nobody should be talking down to another person at all.
