Its been my finding that it all boils down to time verses income.
What I mean is a guy knows he can make 1200 a week by doing 2 jobs per time frame. so he does 10 to 12 installs a day. think about that. that is way less than 1 hour in each home. Well Im old enough,"no jokes" to remember when the phone guy came to our house to install an outlet in our finished basement. First of all he wore a clean set of work cloths that were supplied by the company he worked for. He took his time to do the work and was curtious to my mom becouse he wanted and may have even liked his job. Lets face it. Contracts come and go so fast it doesnt matter if a tech does a good job. His goel is 10 to 12 a day. Your powerless in the end becouse if you get rid of him he will go somewhere else. I say back down his workload so he has more time and if he wants more work tell him his Q/C rate needs to increase. And when he finds another position wish him good luck cause you may be working for him next month. the biz can suck!
