anyone heard of the ftp site and dealings with the non responder phone line issue?well dtv checks whether or not a phone line is hooked up to each ird on a new install. the ftp site is where you can check and see which customer and which reciever was hooked up. well someone i know personally and trust researched this job and saw that the customer had no home phone service at the time, they were getting it in two weeks. my tech hooked up three out of 4 phone lines and shut off the ppv with activation, with dtv and told dtv they had no home phone service.we got the nonresponder list and it showed those recievers did not respond which means 5.00 per reciever and 20.00 out of pocket for the tech. next step we call dtv and give the customer info and ask them to check what it says on this job, they say all ppv was shut off and no phone lines were connected. we still got charged ??? how is it possible to get past these certain issues because customers with no phone service is not a issolated issue it is very common these days, where is a true dtv personell that can answer these questions to solve this problem????
