Re: non responders ftp site
i don't have to deal with phone lines since i do dns, but this sounds more like dtv is trying to negotiatie their prices without making you feel like you've lost something....it's like dish changing little things like service loops ever 6 months and letting that be a point to fail a qc.....do a service change don't change the service loops which would require rewiring to the ground block, it's one step closer to failing the qc and not paying. it's my personal opinion that getting tough on specs is really just a way to pay less money for the most part. of course it makes us look like idiots when we go out on an install that was done 12 months ago and tell the customer, that it wll take us 5 minutes to fix the bad lnb and 2 hours to rewire the whole job to fit current spec. it's always a catch 22 in this business. i think that is one of the main reasons there are so many hacks out there: they've realized it's as much a game as a business.
