they haven't hired extra techs because the number of people willing to do what we do and make the prime AND the MSO/service provider happy are few and far between. i got stuck traing a so-called "cable guy" the last few days (i do dns work the last 6 months). he's supposedly got 3 years experience as a sub and doesn't own a compression tool or a drill.........whatever experience he has is in apt.'s and he gets a 350 bonus if he makes it 3 months..............the bottom line is that a good installer is hard to come by.......(the thread is talking about time frames so i assume that's what we are talking about....................i just realized that the last two pages of this were off topic and that i'm just ranting........bottom line is that demand for techs is higher than supply and WE STILL AREN'T GETTING PRICE INCREASES.
