You got it - that is a wonderful solution - there are so many people out there who want children and can't have them. Social workers should channel their efforts in that direction, especially as there is usually monetary gain involved for the birth mother. Single parenthood is hard, I did it for awhile with my first 2 kids....but it can be done, you are obviously proof of that also. It is unfortunate and sad that life is so disposable now. Discovering you were pregnant years ago was a joy, not a "oh man, I gotta get an abortion" situation. Too bad the good old days had to be swept by the wayside....
