I know youre gonna think Im dodging the question, but the people I respect most are the people you will never hear about. They guys on the frontline representing the members and making sure the contract is respected. This is who I admire most. The "big-wigs" have their place, but even they will tell you that those on the frontlines are the ones who make the difference.
I do admire Ralh Maly, Morton Bahr, and Ed Hill. I dont know their entire record, only the past 10 years or so.
Union big wigs are good at dealing with corporate and political big wigs. This is thier job, but if I had to choose who I wanted in the roomwith me during a disciplinary meeting I would choose the guys on the frontline.
