Has anyone considered the fact that if contractors form a union, what's to say that MSO's wouldn't bring all installation inhouse just to keep themselves from being held over the fire for better pricing? And that would put a lot of people out of work. Think about all the aspects of union involvement.
Look at what the domestic automobile manufacturers are facing right now. Major layoffs and plant closings due to decades of union muscle forcing pay and benefits through the roof.
Do your installs to the very best of your ability, know the products you install, research the contract groups you are thinking of working for.....or find a different line of work.
