Do not forget that this type of problems do not appear if the cable is to long but just if the tap value is too big. For this you have 2 solution:
1) design the network with couplers and line extenders with 1 CI in forward and 1 in revers
2) to change the reverse CI (from line extender) in actual design from may be 18 dB to 24 dB where is necessary.
