i just took over as cable tech for a bunch of apartments. i got about 3 whole days of training with the old tech. i learned how to clean up(make new cables and tighten fittings) and how to clean out the van in those 3 days. so i've came across a few problems that i have no idea how to fix. hopefully i can find some good info here.
at one of our propertys we are pulling our locals off of an antenna. so uhf(i guess.) the channels are all coming in poorly. i got a call today that one of the channels makes a popping sound then goes blank for a short time. i've only been to the property once so i can't even tell you what kind of receiver they are using as of right now. any help on how to go about fixing this would be great. thanks
