MDU upgrade and retrofit question...

I was asked by a MDU manager to work on upgrading and cleaning up his internal Coax/CATV system (replacing rg 59 for rg6), just to be on the safe side, from what point on is it ok to work on the cable drops without going over Comcast boundries and setting myself up for major problems....thanks for your help.
