You are right there should not be amnesty after amnesty after amnesty, that will only promote more illegals into swimming the river or crawling under over or around the fence to get into the US. But if they had taken some serious measures after the first amnesty then we wouldn't have 12 million illegals in residence now. The point is not to consentrait our efforts so much on the punishment of those who are already here but to consentrait on keep any more from entering. I mean if you are a cattle rancher and some of the cows get out of the fence you don't just go chasing after the cows without first fixing the hole in the fence do you? Cuz if you do then by the time you get back with the first batch of ecapees the rest of the cows will be gone. Now keep in mind the fence in this example is to keep cows on the rancher's ranch just like we would like to keep the Mexicans in Mexico.
