anyone know how to take care of snow on dishes??

Does anyone know an inexpensive way to keep snow off of a dish? I hear a clear garbage bag does the trick, does that work? I know Pam would or wd40 but they leave a gunky film and I dont think customers want to hop on the top part of their roof where alot of installers put dishes, heck let alone have a ladder that tall... Sorry I just do alot of service calls that deal with snow and was wondering what the best route on that would be. And mainly if a trashbag would work for some time.
