bird dog sat meter

i am just making the switch from cable to satellite installs (DN) and i'm kinda dismayed at having to swap lnb's if i'm using a DPP, the only meter i can find that claims it can handle the DPP is the bird dog........any info on if this claim is true or alternative meters would be appreciated
