Birddog over rated and over priced for dish installs. I have never used one and can tune a dish 500 or dish 1000 in about 1 minute with a DP twin and either my sat buddy or dual buddy. Remember the DP twin must be new if it has had the 22kHz tone sent to it the internal switch will be set and it will be more difficult to tune in. The DPP Twin requires 2 amps and some meters do not have that kind of power. I have a DP Twin that i use strictly for tunning in the dish.
