The Applied Instruments 9520 will work and work well with the Dish Pro Plus lnb. All you need to do is simple set the meter for the Dish Pro plus and away you go. It will identify the sat and has no problem with current draw or over draw.....if your serious you will look into this meter. It will cost you more than the Birddog, but it will also survive more than one fall from a roof or off a ladder.
