Cable would have been as reliable if ATT Broadband would have finished what they wanted to do, most of the Comcast areas do not have the backbone compared to a primary telephony provider, no fiber ring, no centralized powering, not even close to what telco has. If you are in an area that is prone to power outages, stick with tel. If fiber is not available to your premise, and speed is what you are looking for, the i might consider cable for a business.
