Re: Overtime pay on piece work

These rules were first put in place to make sure companies were paying min wage with overtime hours included. They were not intended for companies paying out the higher wages. This is right out of the mouth of the labor board. They believe the law should be changed.

This has nothing to do with being patriotic so you can stop beating that drum. I know our company was started with the intent of paying techs what they deserve and give there families benefits and security. We follow the law to the T even though we do not agree nor do the people enforcing them. Strange right?

You stating that it gives companies a un fair advantage? What? We are talking about bidding high, providing great work and passing as much money as possible to the workers.

Comparing this to laws for immigrants? Again, What? The law is there to stop companies from working people who have no choice for 3.00 an hour and doing 15.00 an hour work. Not for companies paying out 50,000 a year. The companies out there doing this again should be gone after.

Like I stated before, The companies we hear of day in and day out paying so low or not paying at all.... Go after them.

The techs out there working very hard and in return earning high wages, leave them out of it. They never asked for the help because "they get it"!
