I mentioned what you said about not joining 20 years ago to an old timer. He says he was involved in trying to organize cable workers in the mid 80s. He says some cable guys were doing just as good as union phone guys, but they tried to warn cable guys that it would not last, and that their best bet was to unionize. Most cable guys said no. And now we have what we have now.
