Re: Feelings on Union

trey,

i'm not saying your anti-contractor,but you asked for an opinion then you got a responce and went on to ask why or elaborate
then debate.
i don't mind you being pro-union i wish you all the luck in the world with it. but ,don't ask an opinion and if you don't like the answer try to sway it.
i have alot of respect for you as a technicain and as a person.
you have your views on this issue and i have mine.
now as for lay offs, i also recall a lay-off that happened this year at lear jet .and a family member who worked there over 18yrs. was cut .and i asked if the union offered to get him job placement and he laughed.so after seeing him pay in for that length of time as well as others to end up like that. makes me stop and realize that they were no better off than a contractor.and he said that as well.call it propaganda or anti-union crap if you want but this is reality here. not some fairytale made up story this is real close to home life.
so you keep your opinions on a union and i'll keep mine it's our right.
although i do have one question.
if you are so much for the union, why not go inhouse and jion instead of being a contractor?
