Ok, so I was too new to know that splicing messenger wire is wrong, wrong, and wrong. I also realize that if a prime can get fast but shoddy work from someone who doesn't know any better, they can make more money.
Now, to settle the whole issue for me, *why* can't you splice messenger wire? I have seen the old telegraph wire type splice that was supposed to be as strong as the original unbroken wire. So, tell me so that when I refuse to do it I can at least explain why.
